Hey, I did this swap and am planning on putting in some Kelford 272 cams. What are my options for tuning this thing? Did you do the tuning yourself when you turbo'd it?

That input shaft bearing is too tight to pull out, it just breaks the tool. I used a rotary tool with metal cutting disc to cut the bearing out. 2003 Mitsubishi Lancer F5M42. The Differential bearings outer races just fell out. Had to center punch the case to bring up the metal and use Loctite 620. Also added shims, because the case egged out in both directions after 180k miles.

Yo man i gotta say big upps for the content unfortunately these arent Hondas and alot of people dont see the potential in mitsubishi cars of the era anymore if you cant buy or just simply do it swap wise with stuff bought from vendors they dont wanna "build" the car and im a im a die hard honda guy but im in the process of building a 02 lancer oz rally and the 4g64 videos brought me to you and i really appreciate your time and effort we have two different builds but all in all they're the same i love different builds i built a civic and saw everyone have one so i decided to be different and tbh theres only like 2 lancer rallys in my area but a built one none lol 😂 time to be different #respectallbuilds

I had the same issue that you did with the stock injectors not sealing properly. I added an extra oring to push out the seals and a small washer to even put the bolt seat. Evo 8 injectors are longer and have these special spacers that sit between the rail and the manifold. I my seals just went out so I think ima grind it down also and get rid of the washers.

Good job doing it yourself and saving some money. Just a couple of tips though , The balance shaft belt should have been replaced seeing as you had the crank pulley off and you shouldn't use worm drive hose clamps on plastic radiator's they don't allow for expansion and can crack your hose connection point.

Think the coilovers and brakes fit jdm galants? I've been looking for options but not trying to spend thousands on shipping for true 8g vr4 coilovers and as for brakes, I'm good on non evo brembos and it'll cost way less to run usdm eclipse or galant brakes

A lot of those are just journal for sure, but also theres quite a few ebay "dual ball bearing" ones that actually are real for around $450. Did this one advertise dual bearing as well?

You already know more about spray gun disassembly than many professionals. Often they remove the fluid tip before the needle which 'could' scratch the needle and seat causing gun drip. But you got it right.

p.s. it's not vicious coupler. its viscous (viss-kuss) coupler.

New follower, here. Sup? I have a 99 Spyder that I am undecided which way to go with it between a supercharger from an Ssei Bonneville and a Garret from an 85 SVO Rustang. I am leaning more toward the blower but either way my 4g64 is ON FIRE healthy! I regularly beat up on other n.a. 4 bangers but my 5 sp makes it even easier. G.f. has shown me 125 before. Ive replaced the cat and the resonator with 3" pipe lear back to the factory muffler location where I put a bidirectional 3" x 2 2 1/2" outlets stainless muffler with the dual outlets facing the rear. I also have e3 diamond fire plugs in it, which you will want to try in your Lancer, with the quickness!!

What engine harness did you use? Did you modify a 3g harness, evo 8, or just a mix of everything?
